Today’s comic was inspired by the battalion commander we had when I was stationed in Germany. He had a lisp. Since we were a combat engineer unit, he called us sappers…I mean, thapperth. One time, during a battalion run, he jumped out and started calling cadence. The only thing that kept us from laughing was the sergeant major. He was a Vietnam vet and mean as hell. We had to laugh on the inside. Have a good one!

OMG! When I was in BCT in 1976, we had one Hispanic DS who had an accent so thick you could not understand him. He kept dropping us for pushups because he thought we were being disrespectful. We finally told the other DS what was happening and they moved him somewhere else.
